great target round
This round works excellent in my Remington bolt rifle, very accurate, always sub MOA. Does anyone know if it is safe to use in my garand for hunting (150 gr, of course)?

Range results
With the Thompson Center Icon 30.06 and Burris Eliminator scope, my new rifle is shooting under 1/2" three shot groups at 100 yards. I am very satisfied and confident using this ammo by Federal.

Good performance-great price
I shot a 10-point Buck at 150 yards. The shot was double lung just above the heart. He didn't take a single step... dropped on the spot. A clean, efficient kill.

Great hog load
Uses this load for hunting hogs last december, i shot a 200 pound hog and it dropped on its tracks, the bullet broke 2 ribs on the entry side and broke 6 ribs on the exit side. The shot was made at 90 mts, simply great performance, and completely satisfied with the load.

Power-Shok does the job.
I have been hunting deer off and on for the last fifteen years. I never hunted growing up but started after I met the woman who would become my wife. I live in Utah and the deer population and geography pose a challenge to even see a buck during the hunt. My son and I were sitting under the canopy of a large evergreen a tree at approximately 7800 feet to watch a hillside and a clearing that was split by a small creek. After an hour of sitting with my son just talking and enjoying every minute, he sees three deer come down the hillside in front of us. As I reach for my rifle leaning against the tree, the second deer catches my movement and watches. I had binoculars but chose to use my scope to see the deer. The second deer is a 3x3 mule deer which then moves behind a few aspen trees but with a perfect opening between two trees at what came to be 110 yards. I tell my son to cover his ears and I take a shot, hitting the deer right behind the right shoulder. The deer paused, took two steps and then dropped. No more than 10 seconds elapsed from when my son saw the deer to when it was down. The Federal Power-Shok soft point 150 grain did the job. I’m sure the premium ammo has a proper place but the Power-Shok certainly did not disappoint. Thank you, Federal, for helping me take my first deer and have a lifetime memory with my oldest son.
