Product Overview

Extend the range and enhance the lethality of lead turkey payloads with Federal Premium® Grand Slam®. Its FLITECONTROL FLEX™ wad system works in both standard and ported turkey chokes, opening from the rear for a controlled release of the payload and extremely consistent patterns. The high-quality copper-plated lead pellets are cushioned with an advanced buffering compound to provide dense patterns and ample energy to crush gobblers.

  • FLITECONTROL FLEX™ wad ensures dense patterns through both standard and ported turkey chokes
  • Copper-plated lead shot
  • Buffering prevents pellet deformation for more consistent patterns
  • Roll crimp and clear card wad keep buffering in place
  • A portion of the proceeds are donated to the National Wild Turkey Federation
  • 10-count pack

Does the job at 45 yards
A long shot at a large strutting Tom where a good head shot was questionable dropped him. The extra full choke in a Stevens 301 where the choke dimension was unknown, gave a wide spread and broke both legs. Unable to run or fly, he struggled to reach a sparse of brush where a head shot finished him. A few pellets in body of the bird where easy to remove. A bit of a lucky kill using a Nikon red dot, but I would say that a 40 yard shot in an open clearing is doable using this loading in 20 guage.
