Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sub-MOA I took my new PSA 6.5 Grendel to the range yesterday. Ran a couple boxes of cheap ammo through it then tried some Federal Fusion. My last three shots at 100yds from a cold bore were far more than I had hoped for from both the ammo and the gun. Looking forward to putting it to use caribou hunting this fall! I have no doubt it will be a hammer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best Did my own ballistics test. 100 yards and water jugs. Fusion was my winner. It shot through the same amount of water jugs as the hornady. The hornady shredded and didn’t preform. The Fusion bullet held shape, and had a better wound channel. So much better round to hunt with. Love it. The only round I’ll be buying for my Grendel

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good antelope load I shot a antelope doe at 250 yds, she dropped immediately DRT. Was a slightly quartering shot and performed well mushroomed well but not excessive.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Interesting bullet performance - on a 200 lb boar I shot a 200 lb boar at 170 yards, broadside in the shoulder, and recovered the MSR Fusion bullet in pieces... Terminal performance was good as the bullet struck and shattered the lower leg and continued on a straight path across the body cavity (missing the vitals) and came to rest in the offside hide. I have shot Fusion bullets in 30 cal and 338 cal and they always open with petals or deform into recognizable mushrooms - this 6.5mm Fusion sheared as you can see in the photos. Perhaps this is a one off in terms of hitting a large bone on a large hog at just the right angle to cause the bullet to break apart.... I'll keep an eye on the 6.5mm version on future recoveries before making a final judgement but all things told 4 out of 5 is the rating based on a downed boar.
