Accuracy Second to None
First used Power-Shok in 2019 on and Ibex and Chamois hunt in Spain. Outfitter had several rifles chambered in 300 WinMag. Dispatched a gold medal ibex and 280 yards with precision and a gold medal Chamois at 200yds . Tried other 'high end' cartridges in my 7mm Rem Mag when preparing for a 2022 Dall Sheep and Moose hunt in NWT. Couldn't find anything that performed better than the 175 gr Powershok. Sub 3" groups at 325 yds on my personal range. When my dream hunt became a reality I faced a 430 yd shot at my Dall on a rocky mountain top in the Mackenzie Mountains. I dialed my turret to the yardage and dropped and 11 year old ram in his tracks. A few days later I harvested a 57" bull moose in a nearby Mackenzie Mountain valley. You can pay more, but I truly doubt you'll find a better performing cartridge. I work part time at a Gun Store and regularly steer customers to Powershok cartridges. My personal experience with these cartridges in 300 WinMag, 7mmRemMag and 270 Win has all been the same....deadly accurate and excellent stopping power.

160 Gr. Deer Thugs ammo
I can't understand why Federal doesn't show the ballistics and bullet drop on the new Power Shok 160 Gr. Deer Thugs ammo that is out on the market? I have used it and I like it very much!!

Hits a Ton!
I am a traditionalist I suppose. I have hunted elk here in western Montana all my life being blessed to be born and raised on a ranch here, starting hunting 33 years ago. After 16 bulls, and 9 cows/calves, and too many mule deer and a few whitetails, I have had the chance to try several bullets. My friends have too. You know what we always come back too? The old school soft points. Why? Because they flat work. They are not fancy, and you can't slide them down the bar and get all the owoos and awwes that the new boutique bullets get but they work. I started with Remington Core-Lokt 175 gr in my 7mm Mag years ago. I have tried several bullets, weights and tips. I always seem to end up back at the 175 gr. Then a few years ago, I had noticed some issues with the QA from the Remington Core-Lokt. I started looking for a replacement. After some serious target punching, I discovered these. They grouped as well as any other bullet that I was trying. In fact, better than most. Changed over to them last year. Took a cow through the front shoulder, quartering at me shot. Caved in like stack of cards at 175 yards. This year, a smaller bull, 4x5 young bull, standing broadside at 300 yards. Solid hit, walked about three steps and fell over. Internal damage was perfect. My oldest son hit his 4x4 point mule deer at 200 yd, a little higher in the lungs, and the exit wound was impressive. He never knew what hit him. What am I getting at? You can spend what ever you think you need too in the latest and greatest, but the time tested soft-point set the bar high for many years for a reason. It works just fine. Not a lot of need to really compare tons of specs and gel videos. You can trust that these will work period. Then you can find something else that you can spend all the money you save on the "newest" fancy cartridge on something more important. Like gas! :)

First Deer, wall hanger.
I have a Win. model 70/Weaver V10 in 7mm Mag. I bought the gun in 2006 and have used this ammo since day one, I hunted for 2 more years (2008) before I got my first Whitetail Deer (My first of any kind), I got him in the shoulder and the power of this ammo was amazing, The projectile stayed together, the processor swore it had to have been a Trophy-bonded for as tough it was! The shoulder was broke and it took care of his lungs too...11 points, and He's on the wall! This Power-Shok® ammo works good even when the shot wasn't.

Quality ammo at a great price
I bought a new TC Venture in 7mm mag and purchased a couple boxes of ammo to test with. The Federal Power Shock ammo proved to be the right choice when I shot a five shot group at one hundred yards I could cover with a dime. I repeated sub MOA groups with the Power Shock ammo. I will shoot Federal ammo from now on.
