Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's not the bullet.. it's the barrel #Win224Valkyrie Make sure you use a 1:6 twist. I had the same issue, but remedied this rather quickly changing the barrel out.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad brass I have 2 seperate lots of 224 Valkrye 75gr. The head of the brass is too narrow for the ejector to grab on to???? Lot#s V53E284P47286 47287 S33P338 . 6 empty & 6 full . Great for a single shot to pluck out one at a time??

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Accuracy For those having issues with this round, it's your barrel. With a 90 gr round of these ballistics you need a barrel with a 6 inch twist. Any pre-made upper you buy, at the moment is 7 inch twist. Go on berger bullets and use the twist rate calculator and you'll see that a 7 inch twist is not fast enough for the round to be stable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 2018 MSRP: $20.99 The appeal in 2018 was ballistics, accuracy (1 moa), and cost none of which have stayed the same into 2019

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst GMM Federal has made. Move along... This is the worst Gold Medal Match ammo that Federal has ever put out. I'm shooting it in a an X-Caliber match barrel with a matched JP bolt. The barrel holds .70 moa with hand loads. I would expect this ammo to hold at least 1 moa. I'm getting about 1.5 moa out of it which is substandard for "match" ammo. They get a great SD though: got 6.8 on a 10 round string. But otherwise don't waste your time or barrel on these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 600 Yard Ammunition I have now shot 1000 rds of FGMM 90 SMK. This has been excellent out of a space gun with a 1:6.5 24" Krieger and a March 2.5-25x42 at 600 yds. I was shooting consistently. A mid range match with 197-9, 198-10 and 197-8 was my best with it this summer (great for me), keeping up with all the HM's and their 6XC Tubb guns. I will start reloading soon with 90 gr SMK's and RL17, but I was very pleased with this box ammo. If you have a 1:7 twist, load 80gr SMK's. 1:7 can't handle the 90's. We'll see how the cases hold up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 224 Valkyrie - The Bolt Gun Game Changer! The 244 Valkyrie has been on the market for about six months now but my family and I have had the privilege of shooting it for about 18 months. Originally touted heavily as The MSR / AR-15 platform Game Changer, the bolt rifle market was largely ignored by other bolt gun builders but we recognized the opportunity immediately. We were fortunate enough to get one of the first sets of 224V JGS reamers and worked closely with Federal to make one of the first bolt action rifles ever built. We contacted Defiance Machine and asked them to make a custom bolt with a 6.8 SPC bolt and then used one of our existing Defiance actions. We ordered a Schneider P5 1/7 barrel and chambered it and cut it to 22.5". We set the barreled action in a Grayboe Renegade stock and topped it off with a SIG Tango6 5-30x56 optic, a Timney CE Two Stage Trigger, Atlas Bi-Pod and a Trash Panda Silencer from Q. Our first trip to the range was nothing short of amazing. The sub half MOA accuracy of the 90 SMK along with the nonexistent recoil made this rifle a dream to shoot. Soon after our five yr old daughter was begging to shoot it and on her first trip to the range was making hits on prairie dog targets at 300 yards, then 500 yards and then she went six for ten on an IPSC at 1012 yards. Since then, this first ever 224 Valkyrie rifle has become HER rifle. Back to my original bold statement of "Bolt Gun Game Changer"! If you are searching for a rifle that is safe and enjoyable for shooters of any size and any age to shoot, you want the performance of a .243 / 6mm with the recoil and barrel life of your trusty .223 along with many fantastic choices in premium ammo - Look no further than the 224 Valkyrie.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Questionable Results From Valkyrie Match ammo Purchased both 75 gf FMJ and 90 Match for Valkyrie, both fired at 300 yrds from a Savage MSR15 Recon 18 in barrel. Match grade ammo was pitiful, barely keeping 10 rounds on a 16 in target. 75 gr FMJ round much better at 1.5 MOA group, same weather, equipment, etc.
