Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Son and I hunted with my new AR, and with the MSL took a shoulder shot. My deer dropped right there 100 yard shot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No exit wound 12-5-17 105# doe 50 yards. Full broad side shot. Dropped no e it wound. 12-6-17 225# 8 PT buck full broad side. Ran 50-60 yards in the woods. Both had lung shots. No blood left on food plot. On either animal. I understood it was a smaller round. Very satisfied with the performance as far as killing the animal! But if you are using this round pat attention to where the deer enters the wood line. The first blood I found was 20 yards I. The woods.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This stuff shoots great This stuff shoots the best out of my AR with a 1:9 twist barrel. Surprisingly deadly on deer size game. My 12 year old shot his first deer, a doe with it at 75 yards right behind the shoulder it jumped went about 40 feet and fell over dead. Bullet did pass through but not without some major damage to the vitals. Wouldn't hesitate for him to take shots 250 yards and in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Use the fusion msr 223 62 grain last year and this year for my whitetail deer hunts. I have harvested around 10 deer and they either drop in their tracks or go no more than 40 yards. The fusion msr 223 does the job well. My placement shot that works for me is neck shot or right above its front shoulder.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome small caliber round. Ive been shooting fusion in 150 grain 30-06 for a few years and was very happy with both accuracy and performance. Last year I purchased an AR-15 and fell in love with it. Naturally I wanted to hunt with it but was skeptical about the smallness of the .223. I figured the fusions had never let me down in the past so sighted in with them at 100 yards holding quarter size groups , no suprise there. The suprise was an 8 point 190 pound buck at 110 yards that folded up one shot opening day!. The round entered the quartered to me deer between the shoulder and the brisket took out the heart and one lung. That animal went three feet straight down!.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Multiple whitetail bucks and does even when major bone is encountered well made bonded bullet holds together and destroys the boiler room vitals Fusion and now Fusion MSR for maximizing velocity in carbine length rifles my friend and I have been able to test these rounds on several whitetails, results have been exceptional, amazingly even when major bone is encountered bullet still destroys the boiler room vitals (lung/heart area). Good job federal on this tough bonded to the jacket with excellent expansion bullet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good round, just be careful of your shot placement I shot a FL doe this year, standard just behind the shoulder shot placement. Deflated both lungs, the deer made it approximately 100 yards before piling up. Entrance wound was small, exit wound wasn't much larger, so I was pretty stoked about getting lots of clean meat. Upon skinning the deer I was totally amazed at the amount of hemorrhaging had taken place. There was jelled blood all under the skin in the front half of he animal. I shot the deer at 75 yards or so with an AR platform with a 20 inch barrel. Has to be due to the velocity at that range. The harmonics of the bullet passing through are amazing. I will use this round again but I will ensure that I am MOA at 100 for a head shot only.
