Great ammo at an affordable price
My brother just bought a Heritage arms 45 Colt six shooter. We searched the local sporting goods stores including most of the Wal-Mart and Academy stores in our area. The ammo averaged about $25.00 a box of 20-25. I finally found the American Eagel 45 LC 225 grain SP ammo at a local sporting goods store for about $35.00 a box of 50 rounds. It was cheaper than the stuff that was being offered at the Wal-Mart and Academy stores. It shot very well and it was clean. Best of all it has great brass wihich is relaodable. I was looking for the 225 grain SP bullet for reloading but I dont think it is available as a reloading component. I highly recomend this ammo. You wont be dissapointed.

Squib loads beware
Like another reviewer I had to dig 4 rounds out of my Uberti Schofield which I was shooting fast in a CAS match. Very bad, never thought I would see this low quality from Federal; will probably switch to CCI.

JUNK
I had a problem with 22 LR Federal ammunition years ago with it jamming in a semi-automatic rifle. Any other brand worked well, but not federal. I had a lot of apprehensiveness to purchase Federal again but the price was right, this is years later and it is center fire so decided to give it a shot (no pun intended). I tried shooting this out of a copy of a 84 Winchester rifle chambered for the the 45 colt . I shot 10 rounds sighting it in and 4 plugged in the barrel. If I had not been sighting it in and checking each shot it could have been disastrous to say the least! I will NEVER use Federal again, way to dangerous from my point of view.
