Product Overview

Forget what you think you know about smoothbore slug gun accuracy. The Federal Premium® TruBall® is the most consistent smoothbore slug on the market, capable of groups as tight as 1.4 inch at 50 yards. The TruBall system locks the components together, centering and pushing the rifled slug out of the barrel. This promotes clean separation of components after muzzle exit to ensure the best accuracy.

  • A plastic ball between the wad and slug increases smoothbore accuracy
  • Capable of 1.4 inch groups at 50 yards
  • Clean separation of components after muzzle exit
  • Increased downrange energy

Trueball Delivers
Trueball is "the standard" foster slug for a reason. I've had flawless reliability, good accuracy, and excellent power from every one I've sent downrange. If you own a shotgun, you should always have a few boxes (or cases if you can swing it) of these standing by for a rainy day.

TruBall rifled slugs work great.
Got a really nice buck with TruBall 12 guage slugs. It was the only slug that produced approximately 3" groups offhand at 50 yards out of my 20" barrel. So thats what I used for deer season. And I got off 2 shots; one at 30 yards and another at 60 yards both right in the boiler room on my buck. My second shot really wasn't necessary; the slug performed perfectly on both.

Very dependable and accurate slug round.
Federal Truball rifled slugs are awesome loads. Intended for hunting white tail deer, it's also a excellent choice for personal defense. I keep my Benelli Tactical 18.5" smooth bore loaded up with these. I've been getting 2" groups at 50 yards with these loads. Amazing! I've also tested several urban barriers at 10-25 yards. Drywall, wood, car doors, trees, etc. Devastating results on all of them. Highly recommended ammo.

Could not believe the accuracy with a smooth bore!
The Federal Vital-Shok TruBall Rifled Slug performed flawlessly. A 50 yd shot at a 8 point buck and a perfect hit behind the right shoulder. Upon looking at the shot, after the fact. I noticed a sapling had been hit. Slug still found it's mark. See pics.
