Does exactly what a 30-30 is supposed to.
Great medium range deer ammo.Consistantly accurate. I shot a average size whitetail buck this year at a ranged 142 yards.Broad side shot made a neat groove on the top of the heart and hit low through both lungs.Complete pass-through. 1 rib on entry side and 2 ribs on exit. The buck ran about 25 yards and collapsed.Although my average shot is usually well under 100 yards the results are always the same.

bullet drop back into casing
i purchased some 170 gr, 30-30 soft point and i must say i was very dissapointed, the actual bullet itself would drop back into the shell casing. first shells i ever had this happen with. its like the bullet itself is not seated tight enough in the casing. not very impressed
