Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great accuracy and single shot kills I have been using these rounds in my Browning X-Bolt stainless stalker for the last few years and have had nothing but great success. I have experience one shot kills in last years cow elk and this years buck mule deer. Both bullets were recovered on the opposite sides just under the hide, with great mushrooming and weight retention. I finally had to buy a new box after 3 years due to putting a new scope on the gun and getting it sighted in. I have noticed reduced barrel fouling after switching over to these rounds as well. Great product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good load - sometimes Bought three boxes to sight in my 300wsm rem 700. When I could get round to load and bolt to seat properly the result excellent. However, after realizing the issue of not being able to close the bolt on 18 of 60 rounds as well as experiencing multiple rounds that were difficult to seat due to chamber tightness I am extremely frustrated with Federal’s QA of their product. I really like the end result when it loads properly. I’ve bought 3 more boxes (only bc they were on sale) and if issue is the same, I’m going to find a suitable replacement round. Right now I recommend this product; however, if results remain the same I’ll re-visit this review and withdraw my recommendation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Africa Bullet Planning for a safari takes a lot of time and effort. To make it worth while I needed a hearty 180 gn bullet for my 300 WM. This round was recommended by various sources as African plains game are tough and sometimes pretty big. As it turned out this bullet performed magnificently on small critters such as a side stripped Jackal at 50 yrds out to 225 yrds on a large Waterbuck. The longest shot made was at a Bushbuck at 296 yrds. A baboon was dispatched instantly at 165 yrds. Out past around 350 yrds shot placement becomes more of a necessity as expansion and subsequent hydrostatic shock decrease with velocity. Three bullets recovered from game at 70, 90, and 225 yrds retained at least 80% mass. TBTs are what to take for hearty game!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Positive results This is recovered bullets from left to right 100-500 yards all held together quite well. Reason for 4 stars is the slightly above Moa grouping but still highly acceptable for a factory hunting load

Rated 5 out of 5 by from accurate consistent powerful this is the first review I have ever written, I feel compelled to do so because this product is as the title says. I preparation for a brown bear hunt August 2015 and an elk hunt October 2016, used many different loads to find that one my gun likes, this is it, practicing out to 500yds I was very pleased with the results. granted, you have to make the shot when the opportunity presents itself, but in both cases only one round was needed, I recovered the bullet from the elk 98% weight retention and perfect expansion. I am heading too New Zealand April 2018 and these are going with me. keep up the good work and Thank You

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long range accuracy We have taken 2 deer and 3 elk with this round. My son (15 years old) has harvested a cow and bull ( both double lung) at 480 and 488 yards, and I took a bull at 484 yards (heart) all piled up less than 30 feet. We have done alot of work to be able to humanly take game at long distances and have full faith in the 300 mag 180gr throphy bonded tip

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent results so far I have taken 3 deer and 4 elk with this bullet and it hasn't let me down. My best was a 4 point elk at 440 yards. I had the perfect rest, knew the distance, had been practicing out to 550 yds with 6" groups, and when he stepped in view I took my time shot and nothing happened, I couldn't believe I missed he just stood there, no flinch, no nuthin. He took two steps and stopped so I aimed again shot, nothing again, and he stepped out of view. I couldn't believe I missed both shots. I figured I'd missed and almost didn't walk over to look as it was only 440 yds but about a 50 minute walk, straight down and straight back up. I walked over there and didn't see any blood or hair and was getting ready to leave when I smelled him, I walked about 15' into the brush and there he was, both shots perfect. The bullets had both hit perfect and did thier job and there he lay.
