Excellent result, .280 Rem Mountain Rifle
Dall sheep taken at 170 yards in his bed. Quatering away shot with entrance right lower ribs, exit out left chest. Never left his bed. Same hunt, took B&C caribou (over 350 lbs) at 258 yds ..... broadside shot, full exit. 'Bou ran approx. 40 yds and piled up. Impressive performance at varied ranges.

It is no Bear Claw
My .280 Rem liked this bullet and it performed very well in holding tight groups. Ballistically it is a top shelf round in all measurable catagories. The only problem I have had is with it's terminal performance. I shot a medium sized (180lb) buck in the shoulder at 75 yards. It spun the deer 180 degrees and droped, jumped up then dropped for good. It was a heart shot , what surprized me was that the bullet never made it that far. When skinning the deer it left a mess of the shoulder blade but found no sign of impact on far side of rib cage. Never did find the bullet. With the Bonded Bear Claws the controlled expansion seemed to impart more energy inside the animal rather than at point of impact. I will continue to use the TBT as the Bear Claw is no longer made for my .280. This may be a fine bullet but it is no Bear Claw...
