Rated 5 out of 5 by CZ CCW from Great round for a great price I bought these because I carry federal HST 147 gr and wanted to practice with a similar round. I’ve run through nearly 1000 rounds without a failure in my CZ 75 compact. They’re a heckuva lot cleaner than my buddy’s Remington 115’s and at least as clean as anything else I’ve shot. If you’re looking to shoot something similar to what you carry and want a cheap (this is around 6 cents per round cheaper than anything else I’ve found in 147 gr), reliable practice ammo, this is it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Frank S from Way Too Hot !!! I used to use this Ammo in Competition but for a while now it's way too powerful. It always was kinda on the hot side but now it's way too hot. The recoil is too much, i feel it in my hand. Talked to a few other shooters who used to use it, same response. Can't understand why they need this ammo to go 1,000 fps. If they set it up to go 925 fps out of a Glock 17, it would still be very accurate, less recoil, make PF and still cycle with a stock recoil spring.. Now I have to buy my 147Gr uspsa ammo from a reloader. Too bad because i've used this ammo for years, maybe they will figure it out someday and take a few grains out and make it managable to shoot again..

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ricky30 from Best Competition Ammo !!! I load my own 147 Gr. for local matches & practice but I use this American Eagle 147 GR. Flat Point for all Major Matches. I cannot get my reloads to shoot as good as this ammo and i've tried everything.. This ammo shoots 2" groups @ 25 yards in 3 different guns, my reloads dont come close. Whoever designed this round is a Genius. I actually shoot faster times with this ammo too. I agree with the other reviewer, if Federal ever changes anything to this round they will be making a HUGE mistake.. This is the Best shooting, perfect power factor, laser accuracy, cleanest ammo ever made.. I've been shooting USPSA for 6 years and never thought I would find factory ammo that's better than my custom reloads, but I did.. Thank You Federal and please DON'T change anything..

Rated 5 out of 5 by SB252 from Very good ammo I've fired about 500 rounds of these through my Beretta PX4. No issues what so ever. I've also fired about 100 rounds through my wife's Taurus P709 slim. The P709 had issues with a couple of other brands and types of ammo but not a single issue using the AE 147g FNJ-FN. It's a very good consistent ammo.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Millstone from Great practice ammo! My Glock 19 eats anything! This is easy to find and usually one of the less expensive alternatives. I prefer Federal Ammo since I know what I'm getting. This is the Budweiser of 9mm practice ammo.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Competition Ammo !!! I along with a LOT of Shooters use this Ammo in USPSA & IDPA. It shoots very flat, the recoil is slight but my sights get back on target fast. I hope Federal NEVER changes this round or they will lose a lot of sales.. It's Perfect !!! It groups great, has low recoil and is very clean..If you shoot competition and dont reload this is the 147 Gr. you want to shoot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by UncleBob from Perfect ammo for the Hi-Point 9MM (if you can find it) I did some online research about the Hi-Point 9mm, most folks recommended this ammo. They were right. I hve used other brass-cartridge ammo from time to time, but had the occasional FTL. Zero FTL's on this ammo. BUT it is now impossible to locate anywhere (every place Iooked online said "out of stock". I hope this problem ends soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JTSMASH from Perfect for the right gun... I own two Hi-Point guns and both are 9mm. One is a C-9 handgun and the other a 995TS Carbine. I used Winchester FMJ for a while and every time I did the 2nd to last would jam both guns right out of the clip. This ammo has a beveled tip and it loads faster with these cheaper guns. They do not jam at all. Great ammo for the price too...
