I have hand loaded my own shotgun shells since I was 12 years old. I have load my own tss and bismuth for a few years. It’s a rarity for me to shoot factory made shells unless I need certain hulls. I’ve been lucky enough to hunt Nevada 3 years in a row for Himalayan Snowcock hunting. No guide, no horses on foot carting all gear in a back pack for 5 to 6 days. After the first trip I realized you need every advantage you can get. I purchased the 3.5 inch waterfowl shells in tungsten 7 shot looking for a little increased range. Worth every penny. I harvested a Snowcock in the 22 and 23 hunting seasons. I wouldn’t carry any other shell into the mountains chasing Snowcock. These shells played a huge part in my success.
