That depends on the situation. For rimfire target shooting, Gold Medal is the best choice. For self-defense, shooters should choose Punch. Hunters targeting animals like prairie dogs and small predators will get the accuracy and performance they need from our Varmint & Predator line. If you want a general round for plinking, target shooting and small game, try American Eagle.

No, unlike shotshells and centerfire cartridges, rimfire ammo cannot be reloaded. This is because the primer is not replaceable. The primer in rimfire ammo is a mixture of chemicals, called primer compound. This compound is applied into the casing rather than the primer being put into unprimed brass.

Some advantages include affordability, availability, low recoil, and versatility. Rimfire ammo can be used to plink, compete, hunt small game and varmints, and even for self-defense.
