I use this in my bond arm derringer century 2000 with a 3 1/2" barrel and only 1" past the shell. I get consistent 6"-7"grouping at 15 yards. Your responsible for every piece of lead you send down range and you need to know where it going to hit before you pull the trigger. I love this ammo keep up the great work

I am constantly amazed at the groups I can accomplish with this ammunition. It just doesn't seem possible, given the short barrel. This is the round that is constantly in my weapon.

I have the 2.5 Judge and this is the only round that I will use.I shot into many different objects (no live critters) including the sidewall of a semi tire at 7 yds.At 10 yds maintaind 6-8in pattern on paper.The 45 LC shoots nice but I like the ability to pull the trigger 5 times and putting out 20 rounds.Good job Federal!! I bought a box to try with my Bond Texas Defender and this ammunition produces a beautiful pattern. At ten yards I put one pellet each in the 7, 8, 9, & 10 rings of a standard silihouette. Problem is after months of trying to research terminal ballistics the most reliable information I can find is the factory ballistics gel test showing one pellet penetrating fifteen inches. Where did the other three pellets end up? For now I don't trust this round to penetrate deep enough to stop a big man. Might work well if the threat is feral dogs.
