While growing up on the family farm in Arkansas, Greg Bell spent a lot more time working than shooting. He got into competitive shooting after discovering local pistol competitions. But after meeting Dustin Morris, another farmer from Louisiana and 2014 Precision Rifle Series season winner, his shooting interest moved from pistol to long-range precision rifle. Greg shot his first PRS match in 2015, and has been hooked ever since. He made his first PRS finale in 2018, and has continued to improve and become more involved in the sport. Now, he not only shoots in the PRS, but is closely involved and trains other rifle shooters at Twisted Barrel Precision, a premier rifle range in Little Rock, Arkansas. Outside of shooting, Greg is a husband, father to three children, a fifth-generation farmer, amateur hog and coyote hunter, reserve sheriff’s deputy and volunteer firefighter.

“I can’t imagine my life without the friends I’ve made through competing in the PRS,” he says. “One of the best decisions I ever made was to load up by myself and drive three and half hours and shoot my first PRS match at K&M Precision in Tennessee. It was intimidating, and I didn’t know anyone there. But by the time I headed home, I had been helped by three different top shooters, and learned more than I could have imagined. I can’t say it enough, get out and shoot.”
