This Caton, Georgia, shooter has always been interested in firearms and all things mechanical. He got his first 22 rifle when he was 12 and began shooting local matches with his grandfather. After participating in several types of matches, he settled on Steel Challenge. “It’s a great sport for beginners and for experienced shooters,” he says. “And because everyone shoots the same eight stages at every match, you can compare times to shooters all over the world.” Chris credits the format for giving him the platform needed to hone his skills and challenge himself physically and mentally. “I believe this has helped and will continue to help me become a stronger person and a better student.”

Chris began his college career in the fall of 2019. After college, he plans to combine his interest in how things work with his passion for shooting sports to work toward a career as a sponsored shooter in the firearms industry.
