excellent group.
After zeroing in my rifle at 100 and adjusting the scope, I was able to fire consistantly in the 10 ring on the target. I then switched to 165 from 180 and fired 5 in a tight group one inch left.. Next I switched to another brand (FU) which were low power 150's and they fired all over the place. I am now a true believer in Federal and will not waste my money on cheap loads. The Federals have a little bit more kick but then I am old and fragile. I could not expect more out of a factory load. Federal deserves a high mark for their ammo..

Great in Rem 700
Is the goto round for my 1965 Rem 700. Had other ammo that had 5-4 inch groups at 100 yards. This brought it down to an inch.

sub-moa capability
After trying several different manufacters, loads, and bullet designs, I've found these Federal 165 grain BTSP to produce the best grouping in my Model 700 30.06 with a 26" barrel. I was able to obtain many .5 moa 3-shot groups at 100 yards, and once put 2 rounds in the same hole at 200 yards. This ammo burns extremely clean, unlike some of the other "premium" ammunition. I know different rifles respond better or worse to differnt ammo, and I wanted to continue using Winchester 168 grain Ballistic Silvertips as I do with other rifles I own, but I cannot dispute the results. A great example of you get what you pay for.

Reach out and touch something.
This has been an excellent performer. My wife and I hunt Utah mulies, both of us shoot Remingtron 700s, and this has been an extremely accurate round. Ranges for us seem to average between 150 - 250 yards, with some shots closer and some much further out. If there is a drawback to this round, it is at close range - +/- 100 yards. Seems it is too fast for lung shots in close and doesn't open up.

Quality Control Issues?
I went to this round years ago, as it seemed to have a finer shaped tip than other BTSP rounds out there, and at the range it grouped (3 shots) 1" @ 100 & 200 yds. 11/28/12 I went to Bass Pro to buy a box of 165 grain, EVERY box's rounds had mal-formed tips, like they were dropped on the lead tip, all misshaped in different ways. I bought them anyway, as I didn't want to hassle with re-sighting. Well, accuracy suffered! These shot no better than a 165 grain non-boat tail softpoint made by a major brand #that costs $23.00 box#. Sorry Federal, if you want to charge premium price, I expect premium product performance. When I arrived at the range, I did check two boxes of Sierra BTSP 165s they had for sale.......all the same poorly shaped tips. So I believe they are coming from the factory this way... Please fix my favorite round! I will post a follow up with pictures of the tips and email you all.
