Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not reliable for deer hunting The 223 round is great for small game such as coyotes but not enough for deer. If you plan on using it for deer get used to long tracking jobs and no recovery of animal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 3/4 Groups with 64 Grain Power Shok = Two Does I took my new Mossberg MMR Hunter with a 20 inch barrel to my range the week before deer season opened in my State. I easily shot 3/4" groups at 100 yards on target with this ammo. This was my rifle and ammo of choice for opening weekend of deer season. I easily harvested 2 does with 2 rounds of this ammo. Both does were hit in vitals at a little more than 100 yards and neither doe ran more than 40 yards. They were both easily located. Good wound channel and expansion with minimal meat damage. I am thankful for lots of delicious venison for the winter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No worries Last year decided to step down in caliber during hunting season. I was tired of the amount of meat in the shoulder ruined by my 308 si stepped down a bit in round size. Took my antelope opening morning at just over 350 yards. He dropped like a stone and stayed that way. Two weeks later took my mule deer buck at 250 yds he ran maybe 50 yds. I ruined little or no meat on either animal. The round does unfortunatly sucks for coyotes it does not expand fast enough for that small of a target had 4 run off after hits in the vitals.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Accurate Ammo I have two ARs that will group 3 shots under an inch at 100 yds consistently.
