Fusion Rifle

Fusion Rifle

Part #: F76239FS1

Fusion® was the first rifle ammunition specifically built for deer hunting—and it’s still the best, offering the largest expansion and highest weight retention in head-to-head comparisons against the competition. With a molecularly fused jacket and a pressure-formed core, Fusion transfers maximum energy on target.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent accuracy, terminal performance I decided to give these a try in my 7.62x39 semi-auto. Groups at 100 yards were MOA or slightly smaller. (They probably would be tighter if someone other than me was behind the gun.) I shot a 120-pound whitetail doe at 102 yards. Bullet placement was low in the chest through the heart and lungs. A nice exit wound started the blood trail where she stood. She wobbled about 20 yards and crashed. Also, these feed reliably in 7.62x39 AR mags, unlike another brand of soft-point I tried. I think that is because the Fusion jackets extend all the way to the tip, unlike other brands.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Experience on deer I have shot 3 medium size deer with this cartridge at about 40 yards. Shoulder shots have no exit wound. All deer down with one shot and ran less than 40 yards.
