Rated 3 out of 5 by from Smooth, but not for bigger handguns Tried this out in a Beretta 92 FS that feeds and extracts everything I throw down it but not this load. It fires like a pussycat, but the next cartridge of whatever is next, does a stovepipe or jams the firearm. Would try it in a Compact CZ and it may be a different story...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from less recoil and noise from my s&w shield 9 Performs as advertised, amazing stuff...I only wish I could afford to practice with these. Truly, its the bee's knees. When people say it "pushes" more than recoils, they mean it feel really good to shoot. Stays on target better, less muzzle blast, smile inducing performance. Even 115gr practice ammo is snappier. You won't be disappointed!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I run this in a 4'' barrel because I live with close neighbors and the low power and heavy round reduce the risk of collateral (as long as my shot placement is on par obviously). This ammo will cycle great in barrels of that length but if you have a heavier slide or stiffer spring you will want to train/cycle several rounds to ensure reliable feeding. The Firearm Blog did an interview with federal and they stated that this cartridge was designed and tested with a 3'' barrel. If youre in a situation where you can run faster rounds i would suggest it, but this is a great situational specific round.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MP Shield 9, Tamed. Thought I'd try a box see how they shot. WOW! I noticed a big difference in muzzle rise. The slide spring seems to really like this load, the pistol "pushes" back more than recoils. Shoots softer than 115 grain practice ammo, I can mag dump a better group on the target, faster with these fatties. Totally counter intuitive. Upon further research it has to do with the heavier bullet giving the specific powder enough time to finish expanding before the bullet exits the barrel. Kinda slows the process down, you can feel the difference. I just wish Federal sold a similar (cheaper) practice load without the hollow point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best defense round out of a compact or full size. This round simply says micro because it is heavier and slower with less energy . This is to control muzzle flip and snappyness on a shorter barrel weapon. Yes it will be just as effective if not more effective out of a full length auto loader.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed When I want 380 power I will use my lcp. 95% carry +p 9mm or40 & want max power. Recommend for low recoil only

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Defensive carry Was looking for a solid round to carry in my M&P9c. Noticed this said MICRO on the box.. But I can't find what barrel length this was tested with. From what I can gather, I'm looking at less than 900fps out of 3.75inch barrel, and probably less than 260ftlbs of energy... For defensive purpose I don't this product is ideal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Barrel Length Federal website ballistic calculator shows that the test barrel length was 4 inches.
