Name: Becca Culberson
Location of hunt: Pennsylvania
Date: December 2008
Game taken: Whitetail deer
Ammunition used: Fusion Ammunition
Skinny: "I was hunting with my dad and brother when a 10-point 18-inch spread whitetail appeared. I shot him at the crack of daylight on opening day of Pennsylvania rifle season. One shot knocked him over. Thank you Fusion."

Name: Gene and Kaymen Smith
Location of hunt: California
Date: 2009
Game taken: Whitetail deer
Ammunition used: Federal Premium Vital-Shok .30-06 Spring. Barnes Triple-Shock X Bullet
Skinny: "Last season, in a DIY hunt in California's D7 lead free zone, we took this nice buck. He is a 6x8 and measured 26 1/2" wide and 18" tall. He scored 177 by a B&C authorized scorer."

Name: Kerry Purcell
Location of hunt: Idaho
Date: 2009
Game taken: Elk
Ammunition used: Fusion .308 Win. 150-grain
Skinny: "Here is the result of my 2009 hunting season - using Fusion 308 150-grain factory loads. The elk was taken at 380 yards with a shoulder shot that exited behind the off shoulder. Dropped in his tracks. I also shot an antelope. It was an instant kill shot at 90 yards. The whitetail was about 120 yards and the bullet exited and traveled about 15 feet. I think you have a terrific bullet and load, and I will keep buying them. Thank you."

Name: Adrian “Buckshot” Martin Jr.
Location of hunt: Nebraska
Date: 2009
Game taken: Whitetail deer
Ammunition used: Federal Premium Ammunition (.30-06)
Skinny: "I have been using Federal for many years with great results on a large variety of game. During my 2009 Nebraska rifle hunt I used my .30-06 loaded with Federal ammo. I tagged my 262 pound, 18-point, over 180 inch monster! One shot and he was down. All six deer harvested on that hunt were taken with Federal ammo. I encourage all hunters to use Federal ammo. Thanks for a great product."

Name: Ken Farago
Location of hunt: Montana
Date: 2009
Game taken: Bull Elk
Ammunition used: Federal Premium Vital-Shok .338 Win. Mag 210-grain Nosler Partition
Skinny: "I shot a "trophy" 6 point bull with my .338 Winchester Magnum. I shot him once at 320 yards through the front shoulder. He went about 30 yards and dropped dead.

I was impressed that the bullet retained most of its mass, and had a perfect "mushroom" shape. The .338 passed through the shoulder bone and still weighed over 200 grains.

Unfortunately (for your Company), the ammunition is so deadly that I don't have to buy many cartridges...but I'll continue to use yours when I need them. Fortunately (for your Company), I'm also an avid pheasant hunter, and not a very good wing shooter....I buy lots of shotgun shells in a season!"

Name: Tyler Ruhland
Location of hunt: South Central Wisconsin
Date: Fall 2009
Game taken: Whitetail deer
Ammunition used: Federal Premium Vital-Shok 7mm STW 160-grain Nosler AccuBond
Skinny: ”I am a 21 year old student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I have been a diehard hunter ever since I was a little boy. This past fall I hunted harder than ever, up at 3 a.m. to drive from my college apartment to the farm.

I have been using nothing but Federal Ammunition since I started hunting, and I thank the good Lord that I have continued to use them! They have performed flawlessly each and every time. I have never seen a bullet do such controlled damage in my life!

After seeing a huge deer on our property and countless adventures out into the woods my hard work finally paid off. I put the hammer down on this 17-pointer with a 21.5” inside spread, and gross scoring over 200 inches!

I am so glad that I loaded my rifle with my Federal Premium bullets that day, because I know that I would not have dropped this “buck of a million lifetimes” without the exceptional products the Federal team puts out year after year!"

Name: Ben Jones
Location of hunt: Wyoming
Date: 2009
Game taken: Mule deer
Ammunition used: Federal Premium Vital-Shok .300 WSM 180-grain Barnes Triple-Shock X-Bullet
Skinny: “Recently I went hunting with four friends. Over the course of three days, we hiked 30 miles with over 11,000 feet of elevation, packing two deer and our gear on our backs.

We were starting to pack up to move to a new area we saw a nice buck in the ravine 400 yards away. We spent five minutes glassing over the deer, debating the size, the retrieval of the deer, and the distance of the shot.

I laid down on the cliff, my barrel hanging over the 150 foot drop, and got ready to shoot. I waited for the deer to come out of the trees. I shot and the deer immediately stopped… stood there… and then tumbled onto the ground into the trees.

Finally, when we got back to camp; we measured the rack. We knew the deer was big but still couldn’t believe the measurement—the rack was 30.5 inches wide. I had shot the Holy Grail for mule deer hunters. We earned this deer the hard way, on public land, with no guide, and no horses. We were just four friends with an eye for adventure, a lot of hard work, and a little luck.”

Name: Doug Metcalf
Location of hunt: Utah
Date: Spring 2008
Game taken: Mule deer
Ammunition used: Federal Premium Vital-Shok .30-06 165-grain Trophy Bonded Tip
Skinny:“The Federal Trophy Bonded 165-gr (.30-06) performed exactly as advertised. Great mass retention of the slug after instantly dropping a 30" 4 X 4 mule deer during my hunt in southern Utah.”

Name: Chuck Townsend
Location of hunt: Oklahoma
Date: Spring 2007 and Spring 2008
Game taken: Turkey
Ammunition used: Federal Mag-Shok #4 20-gauge Turkey loads
Skinny: "If you'll look close you will see the combined results of;

Two Oklahoma Spring Turkey Seasons (2007 - 2008)
+
Six Federal Number Four (4) 20 gauge Federal Premium Turkey Loads
=
Six Eastern Wild Turkeys (with a combined total of (64 1/2) sixty four and one half inch beard length!!!)

I wish I could better express my gratitude for a company that makes such an awesome product as you guys make, but the only way I know is to show you proof positive of the results. In my opinion, anyone serious as I am about turkey hunting, better be using your shells! Unequaled product, unequaled results!!”

Name: John McEnroe
Location of hunt: Lake County, California
Date: 2008
Game taken: Hog
Ammunition used: Federal Power-Shok .308 Win. 150-grain Soft Point
Skinny:"I fired one round from my 1955, vintage Savage Model 99, and the 150-pound hog was in the cooler by 8:05 AM.

Did I use a “magic bullet?”

Well, the “experts” would say that I made a bad choice because we only recovered a 94.0 grain chunk of twisted metal. But, when I pulled the trigger, I watched my hog go straight up into the air, come down and attempt to spin around twice, then flop on his side on the ground where he stood when he was hit. When field dressing, the initial reactions to the wound channel was that a lot of meat had been damaged. That was not the case.

Federal, Jake & Mike made this once in a lifetime pig hunter look good!”
