Name: Bruce Uhas Location of hunt: New Hampshire Date: Fall 2006 Game taken: Moose Ammunition used: Vital Shock 180 grain with Barnes X bullet Skinny: "I was lucky enough to hit the New Hampshire moose lottery this past fall. I ordered two boxes of Federal Vital Shock 180 grain with the Barnes X bullet, and to my surprise they shot dead on accurately without needing to adjust my rifle scope. They were within the high side limit and 25 yards, dead on at 100 yards and just 4" low at 200 yards.
On day 7 of the 9 day hunt I saw my second moose about 50 yards out. I shot her in the right front shoulder and she instantaneously fell to the ground. As I approached closer I saw her head was still up so one more put her to rest. From the time of the first shot when she went down, she was down for the count. She dressed out at 680lbs.
I may have had a lucky shot, but I sure am impressed with your round loaded with the Barnes X bullet. The first bullet that went through the shoulder, shattering it and three ribs and recovered in the base of her neck. The bullet mushroomed perfectly and was all but through the far side skin. It performed perfectly. I am glad I purchased your ammo, and I have let everyone know this. I know several people that have taken multiple shots, hitting a moose in the vitals, before they go down."

Name: Lowell Young (top) and Tyler Young (bottom) Location of hunt: Montana Date: N/A Game taken: Mule Deer Ammunition Used: 270 140 Gr. Trophy Bonded Bearclaw Skinny: "Opening morning we sat on a major high ridge where we could glass for miles. We spotted 17 bucks from this point, but we just glassed until we spotted the big boy we're after.
This bullet performs like no other and no other will be used by us. Tyler has taken his black bears, moose, elk, deer and antelope with this load and we love the results."

Name: Steve Howard Location of Hunt: Westcliff, CO Date of Hunt: November 4, 2006 Game Taken: Mule Deer Ammunition Used: Federal Premium Barnes X Triple-Shock, 180gr, 300 WSM Skinny: "I just wanted to say thank you for providing a phenomenal product. I switched to the Federal Premiums this year after some bad experiences with a competitor's bullets and I will never go back! I shot 1" groups at 100 yards consistently with this round. Your ammunition allowed me to bag my largest buck to date; a 180 class Mule Deer at 250 yards in one shot! No mess and no follow-up shots needed! Thanks again for a fantastic product."

It is the only ammo that we have ever shot and have never had any trouble with it. It performs perfectly! Name: Lisa Metheny Location of Hunt: Hayden, Colorado, Peabody Recreational Lands Date of Hunt:Sept 23, 2006 Game Taken: Rocky Mountain Elk Ammunition Used: Federal Premium, Nosler Partition bullets, 180 grains Skinny: "I had hunted hard in the mountains for three days trying to get on a shooter bull. The last morning of my hunt my guide Tracy and I headed for a large basin where we hoped there would be some elk. It was still dark and we could hear them bugling and felt good about the location. We hiked up the side of this ridge and crawled several hundred feet to get into a shooting position.
We saw several shooter bulls in this herd, but this one was the largest. He finally presented himself for a shot. I squeezed and shot completely under him. My guide suggested I aim right on the top of his back. I squeezed the trigger again and hit the bull. He jumped slightly and walked forward about 15 or 20 feet then started to go down. He was hit! He walked another few feet and dropped. He went less than 30 feet after the impact. He is a 7x6 with the 7th point being a small one but it counts and I am thrilled to death with my first elk. My Federal Premiums did not let me down in the longest shot I have ever taken. 485 yards! Thanks Federal!"
