Tipping your African PH (professional hunter) can be tricky. While tip amounts vary based on the type of animals hunted (ie: dangerous game vs. plains game), cash in the currency of the country you are hunting is usually a good practice. Or, consider combining some cash with a piece of gear that your PH may have found attractive. If in doubt, you can always ask the safari operator for advice. Also, don't forget to include a small token of your appreciation to those who do your laundry and cook your food. Bags of American candy are a popular gift when combined with a cash tip. |
